Modeshift STARS Regional Awards 2023

Histrionic's Dave and Modeshift's Cheryl and Nick sit either side of large TV screen around a coffee table. Modeshift STARS Logo is on a second TV screen on the wall.

The Modeshift STARS Regional Awards took place on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 November 2023. The regional awards showcase and celebrate the amazing Modeshift STARS journey each school is on.

Congratulations to all the schools nominated and to all of this year’s winners!

We had 124 schools shortlisted for the Regional Awards from 28 Local Authorities across the country.  A record number, including 97 Primary schools, 12 secondary schools, 11 SEND schools and 4 Early Years establishments.

The winning ‘STARS Schools of the Region’ will be invited to London to represent their regions at our  National STARS School Travel Awards event on 20 March 2024.

Modeshift STARS Programme Manager, Cheryl Ford Lyddon said:

‘It was great to see so many pupils and adults get involved in the STARS Education Regional Awards this year.  The excitement was palpable, with some children bringing their school mascots or school dog to the awards! It was inspiring to hear about all the work the schools had been doing to promote active and sustainable travel.  I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, go #Team Modeshift!’
